about dr. brew
I am a Doctorate prepared Family Nurse Practitioner with over 25 years diverse primary and emergency care experience throughout rural remote and urban Alaska as well as British Columbia, Canada. I'm now blessed to be based in Santa Fe, NM.
I've spent a lifetime studying family medicine and wellness, including a Masters degree from the University of Alaska and a Doctorate in Nursing from the University of Colorado. I've worked in remote villages throughout Alaska, providing primary and emergency care. I had the honor of teaching full-time for three years at the University of British Columbia, Canada. I've trained as a Wellness Coach. I am also a spiritual seeker and believe in service as a practice of gratitude. I spent the better part of three years, 2015-2018, volunteering and completing my doctoral studies in Nepal. Most recently I've completed a one year Fellowship in Psychedelic Assisted Therapy (ketamine, MDMA, and psilocybin) through the Integrative Psychiatry Institute in Boulder, Colorado and MAPS, and am certified in Psychedelic Assisted Therapy. My approach to working with clients in transcending trauma and emotional blockages is grounded in Internal Family Systems (IFS) and somatic therapy.

On a personal note, I've successfully traversed my own path to thriving from multigenerational family trauma and autoimmune disease. I know this terrain well from both sides - that of a primary care provider and that of a frustrated patient, seeking answers and help. That journey has taken me all the way to the Amazon jungle of Peru, and every step has been so worth it. As a result, I understand the arc of deep inner healing firsthand, and am super passionate about supporting individuals on their path.
I would be honored to help you however I can as a healthcare provider, through guided ketamine journeying, or problem solving of health related challenges or issues that may be holding you back from truly thriving.

I am currently licensed and grateful to be able to work with clients who are based in both New Mexico and Alaska.

Wishing you all the best on your path!

ps. below is one of my favorite poems, by Mary Oliver
Wild Geese
You do not have to be good.
You do not have to walk on your knees
for a hundred miles through the desert repenting.
You only have to let the soft animal of your body
love what it loves.
Tell me about despair, yours, and I will tell you mine.
Meanwhile the world goes on.
Meanwhile the sun and the clear pebbles of the rain
are moving across the landscapes,
over the prairies and the deep trees,
the mountains and the rivers.
Meanwhile the wild geese, high in the clean blue air,
are heading home again.
Whoever you are, no matter how lonely,
the world offers itself to your imagination,
calls to you like the wild geese, harsh and exciting -
over and over announcing your place
in the family of things.
