Integrative and Functional Medicine
As a result of my years of practice and passion for learning and supporting people to flourish on their path, my practice is fairly eclectic at this point. I would describe it as Integrative-Functional in approach.

"Integrative Medicine (IM) is healing-oriented approach that takes account of the whole person, including all aspects of lifestyle. It emphasizes the therapeutic relationship between practitioner and patient, is informed by evidence, and makes use of all appropriate therapies." (Andrew Weil Center for Integrative medicine)
Functional medicine is also used to describe an approach that proactively seeks to optimize health and performance, beyond just preventing and treating disease. In terms of approaching symptoms, the goal is to work deeply to identify the root cause(s) rather than simply alleviate symptoms. An example of optimizing rather than simply addressing a condition would be the use of IV iron to replenish iron stores beyond just enough to not be anemic, to getting one's iron levels well into normal range. This can make a profound difference in energy and athletic performance.

More examples include fine tuning of hormone replacement therapy in hypothyroidism and menopausal women, and the use of oral probiotics to decrease inflammation in the body,

The fee for a one hour initial comprehensive intake and consultation is $200, during which you may bring any and all of your health related questions, lab work or other studies, and I will provide insights and recommendations for exploration, wellness coaching, and suggestions for supplements and prescriptions when appropriate. These visits are usually by telemedicine, but in person in Santa Fe may also be possible.

Followup consultation $100./30 minutes, 200./hr

I provide medically supervised guided ketamine therapy and losenge prescriptions in the Santa Fe area to appropriate clients. This is generally limited to those actively engaged in work with a therapist. Medically supervised sessions can be provided in the comfort of your home. Ketamine therapy can be very helpful for anxiety, depression, transcending past trauma, severe burnout, and finding peace at end of life. Ketamine has a dissociative effect, which means that the usual emotional barriers and defenses are softened, allowing one to compassionately explore memories, emotions, and fears.

A preliminary one hour comprehensive health history is necessary prior to beginning ketamine therapy to make sure it is safe and appropriate for you. Additionally, all clients are encouraged to be actively engaged in therapy for the purpose of integrating insights and gaining the most from one's experiences. A typical series would be once or twice a week, for 8 sessions total. Ketamine sessions typically last 2 hours. After two medically supported/guided journeys it may be possible to do further journeys with your therapist or on your own.

See the FAQ page for further information related to working with ketamine.
